TOO MANY CHOICES and
NOT ENOUGH GUIDANCE!
Today’s
teenagers and young adults are asking for your help and guidance to find
careers they will enjoy and at which they will succeed
Our teenagers have
to make huge decisions at 17 & 18 years old, but they don’t
know what their options are nor which would be best for them.
Today’s
workplace is vastly changed from when you entered it: more complex,
technical, and competitive.
Hardworking school
counselors are out-numbered 1-to-250 to 1-to-3200! Your involvement is
NEEDED at home and in the PTA/PTO.
Teens must choose
from hundreds of college classes and majors, and 12,000+ jobs.
Young Adults must
be prepared to be mobile and expect 3-15 job titles over their lifetime.
College is key to
your kids’ future.
Unproductive "HELP":
DO NOT project your own unfulfilled dreams onto your teenager, and DO
NOT tell them what they should study and do for a living. Your invaluable
role is to help them learn about and pursue their own dreams so that they
will have rewarding life work - whatever it may be.
