| As Coordinator of California State University, Long Beach's (CSULB) Internship Program Cooperative Education a division of the Career Development Center, Dr. Lee is familiar with the recruitment needs of employers of all sizes and from many sectors. Meeting the challenge of matching the right student with the ideal internship opportunity to satisfy both the student and the employer has been extremely rewarding. Dr. Lee is always on the lookout for opportunities to develop partnerships between California State University, Long Beach, and business and industry, both locally and abroad. Dr. Lee received a B.S. in Economics from the University of Michigan, a M.A. in Education from Wayne State University, and an Ed.D. in Higher Education from the University of California, Los Angeles. Her dissertation was entitled Expanding Access: Increasing Enrollments in Advanced Placement Courses in a Racially Diverse School. Dr. Lee currently serves as advisor for the Black Business Students Association (BBSA), and is a consulting advisor for the National Society of Black Engineers (NSBE) for the CSULB campus. Additionally, she serves as 2nd Vice President and Membership Chair for the Association of Pan African Doctoral Scholars; a local non-profit organization geared toward mentoring doctoral students. Dr. Lee is a member of the National Women&039;s Political Caucus, the California Cooperative Education and Internship Association (CCEIA), where she has served as a member of the Conference Planning Committee, the National Society for Experiential Education (NSEE) and the National Association of Colleges and Employers (NACE). Born and raised in Detroit, Michigan, Dr. Lee ventured to the west coast five years ago and makes her home in Long Beach, California. She and her husband share their space with a turtle, aptly named "Mr. Turtle." In her spare time, Dr. Lee enjoys reading, writing the unfinished novel, and traveling to visit friends outside of "sunny California."
