After high school: Emergency and non-emergency calls for an ambulance medical service provider.

I am an EMT-2, or EMT-B (or EMT-Basic) working on an ambulance whose services are contracted by a municipal fire department. I work closely with fire, police and hospital personnel. In the past I have worked movie, sporting events and exhibits for schools and city functions. I have worked in many areas within the company including Operations, Human Resources, Communications, C.P.R. Instruction and Field Training.

Every two years EMTs are required to take a re-certification class with written and clinical exams.

Note: Being an Emergency Medical Technician is a very exciting and personally rewarding career.
